In their capacity as director of the Black Curators Collective, Jade came to Simmons & Simmons LLP to deliver a talk to colleagues and clients on the theme of accessing, collecting, and building an art collection. Jade’s expertise and insights were considered and intelligent and delivered with care and honesty. The talk was delivered in a way that was accessible to a novice audience, who received it with enthusiasm and purpose.
Jade’s leadership consistently centered disability justice as both a creative and strategic framework whilst working at DASH. Their approach and practice created the conditions for artists, curators and writers to make profound and significant work and to shape program and organisational thinking in meaningful and lasting ways for me and the team.

Peer & Arts Catalyst — Apophenia by Leah Clements
Producer, 2025–265
Producer for the London film shoot of Leah Clements’s Apophenia, a new co-commission by Peer (London) and Arts Catalyst (Sheffield) exploring the physical and psychological experience of illness and healing. Working with the artist and both commissioners, I had oversight of the shoot — securing the location, coordinating crew and kit, and managing logistics and access support throughout, delivered on schedule and within a limited charity budget. Filmed on location at art’otel London Hoxton. Presented at Peer, London (7 Feb – 2 May 2026) and Arts Catalyst, Sheffield (18 June – 1 August 2026).

ACAVA — Professional Development Seminar
Navigating Practice, Values and Person, 2025
Commissioned by ACAVA to lead a seminar in their autumn professional development series on how artists can weave advocacy and personal ethics into a sustainable practice. Delivered online with a live Q&A, the session brought together lived experience, theory and language to give participants practical frameworks for navigating power, partnership and integrity in their work.
In a participant survey, 100% had learnt new approaches they could apply in their practice, and 100% would recommend the programme to others. Attendees described the session as “so useful and so inspiring” and “really grounding in a time of rising fascism.”
